I’m having some complications with some NiMH rechargeables I bought earlier this year. They are not working well with some of my devices, and have some self-discharge issues. I’m trying to chalk it up to the new charger that came with them, maybe it is defective.
My next step is I tried matching cell voltages and charging in groups of 4 instead of individually like the new charger does. For the groups of 4 cells, I’m using the MAHA 777 charger, which has always worked well no matter what battery pack I’ve charged with it. I’ll give the batteries a few cycles, to see if they ‘come back to life’.
I’m still very much into rechargable technology, as it seems so wasteful to be buying Alkalines every few weeks for all the kids toys. At least if I can power the fleet of toy garbage trucks my son has, that will let the batteries pay for themselves!
