Since I’m a gadget guy, and my kids have lots of electronic toys, we have been buying alkaline batteries quite frequently for several months. I decided that it was time to educate my family on how to use rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries. I use rechargable battery packs in many radios I now own, and figured that it was time to stop wasting money on alkaline cells.
I opened up the battery boxes, and placed the batteries in the charger for their initial charge. The AA cells seemed to charge very quickly (about 20-40 minutes), while the other battery cells (AAA, C, D) took much longer. I found out later on that the AA cells didn’t hold much of a charge. Subsequent charging with another charger seemed to help. At first I thought the battery charger I bought from all-battery.com was not working properly, but it does appear that it is working right. The batteries took several charge cycles to start working properly, which I understand to be normal operation.
I’m very pleased with All-Battery.com, and would recommend their charger products and batteries to others. I especially like the fan on the charger I have (model T6278), to keep some airflow on the batteries and circuitry, since it is capable of charging each battery with about 1000mAh. I also like the fact that the charger treats each battery individually.
I’m expecting to save a good amount of money on battery costs now, and having the ability to recharge the batteries in several hours’ time is really great. I would recommend All-Battery to anyone looking to save money on their battery costs.
