There remains for us only the very narrow way, often extremely difficult to find, of living every day as though it were our last, and yet living in faith and responsibility as though there were to be a great future...

Sennheiser PXC-250

I’ve been using some really good headphones for the last few weeks, the Sennheiser PXC-250 Noise canceling Headphones. My day job moved me into a noisy factory area, so I figured they would help out with my concentration. So far, they have worked very well. I got a good deal on them at TigerDirect as refurbished.

The only complaint with them is that because they do not cover the whole ear, there is still some noise that gets through, but the headphones do greatly attenuate most of the noise.

I also think this is the most accurate set of headphones I’ve ever owned. I realize that there are probably much better hi-fi options on the market, but I have heard good things about Sennheiser before, and figured that these would be excellent, and they haven’t disappointed one bit in terms of audio quality. The two AAA batteries needed to power the noise-canceling circuitry and amplifier have been in the headphones since I got them, and they are not dead yet, even though I listen for a good 5-6 hours every work day.

I’ve been listening to most of my Kathy Troccoli, Margaret Becker, and Phil Keaggy albums, and I’ve heard new things I hadn’t noticed before with these headphones.
