There remains for us only the very narrow way, often extremely difficult to find, of living every day as though it were our last, and yet living in faith and responsibility as though there were to be a great future...

Devotions

I’ve been reading Devotional Classics: Revised Edition: Selected Readings for Individuals and Groups . I’m really liking this book, as it gives many readings from various writers spanning the 2000 years of Christianity. I would say, as some of the reviews on Amazon said, that if you are tired of devotionals in Christian bookstores, this is one to pick up. I really appreciate being able to see how Christians conducted private worship and pursued God. The other thing I like is to see how other traditions besides mine(Protestant, Baptist) thought about worship. There are Catholics, Charismatics, Protestants, and different traditions of devotion that are presented in the book.

It is a breath of fresh air in my devotional life.
