There remains for us only the very narrow way, often extremely difficult to find, of living every day as though it were our last, and yet living in faith and responsibility as though there were to be a great future...

Church Technology Makeover

I’ve been going to grad school for software engineering, as I mention in my profile. I’m at a point where I’d like to share my skills and work on a real project.

The idea I’ve come up with is a “Church Technology Makeover”. The offer is this: I will write software to help streamline your church’s operations, or fulfill some other need. If you have been wishing you had software to meet some need, then this may be for you.

All I ask is two things:

1. Your computers must be running at least windows 2000 or xp. I do not want to support windows 98.

2. I would prefer to work with churches in the Reformed traditions, but will work with a church that subscribes to inerrancy as a minimum.

What I’m looking to do is use the .NET framework to solve a problem. Because of this, a web application can be created also.

For instance, some examples I can think of include a membership tracking program, prayer request entry and tracking, outreach tracking program, etc. I’m sure those in ministry know best what their needs are.

If you are interested, please call (860) 265-4510, and leave a message. I’ll call back. Note that I can’t be on-site, but should be able to get things working remotely. I will own all rights to resell the software that I create, but of course, you will get it and updates and bug fixes free.

UPDATE: This offer is still good, as of November 2008.
