There remains for us only the very narrow way, often extremely difficult to find, of living every day as though it were our last, and yet living in faith and responsibility as though there were to be a great future...

D-STAR in Connecticut

For some time now, I’ve been interested in a new arena of amateur radio, called D-STAR. This is a new, digital form of radio, which I would assume the intent of was to come up with an amateur version of APCO 25.

So, I’m wondering — are there any amateur operators in CT that would like to give D-STAR a try? I’ve got a decent station, and could do simplex before a repeater is put up.

Speaking of such things, I’d be willing to be part of a group that buys a bunch of radios to get the free repeater. I would not have a good location for the repeater, but would be willing to help out to get it on the air, and experiment with it.
