There remains for us only the very narrow way, often extremely difficult to find, of living every day as though it were our last, and yet living in faith and responsibility as though there were to be a great future...

TI-89

Just like a six-shooter was a cowboy’s tool of choice in the Wild West, my TI-89 is my ally at work. I’ve found it is very versatile and helps me solve problems and equations quickly. There is a story and lesson behind it.

I got a bonus from work about 3 years ago. Most people would have probably spent the money on other things, but I bought tools that would help me in the job. This calculator was one of them. One thing I learned after this was that successful people invest in themselves, be it tools, education, or other things.

I know some that like RPN would like the HP-48G, but have you ever tried to buy that at a local store? It is so hard to find those things, and after all, everyone else uses the TI series of calculators. If and when I take more calculus courses, the TI-89 will work nicely for them.
